Okay so, there’s this opinion out there that those of us who “understand the problem” and who would endeavor to fight for our freedom might as well “pound our heads into a polished granite surface until our brains are smeared into it.” As entertaining and graphically colorful as that sounds, I think I might rather not, Capt. Roy.
He makes the pretty good point that trying to reason with the bunch of psychopaths that created this mess in the first place … is a classic exercise in futility. Seems the cards are indeed stacked heavily in favor of the bad guys.
Nowadays the Criminals-in-Charge and their Filthy Media Prostitutes can lie through their teeth incessantly to the people almost around the clock, and almost everywhere. Thanks Technology!
So it appears as if our fate now hinges on how well We the People seize that little bit of almost and commit something impactful with it. The good news is that there are several guiding principles lurking strongly in our favor and upon which we can depend in our winning future. And they are, in no particular order …
The Truth. Now this little concept would really seem to be on our side, am I right? The dastardly enemies of freedom endlessly repeating some high-stinking whopper like “that there covid vaccine is safe and effective” over and over … does not make it true by any stretch of their putrid imagination.
Enter the intense light of truth shining brightly on the plethora of government lies. Eyes will ultimately open and turn the tide on an Ocean of Deception. As the good Book of John so elegantly said, “The truth will set you free.”
Pardon the perfectly pointless alliteration, but the great unwashed are a directionless herd of shorn sheep for sure. No need to lament their shortcomings though, as they are not necessarily needed to win.
History is replete with examples of victory by the dedicated few who won against all odds … the Battle of Galveston, Agincourt, Rorke’s Drift and many others.
Samuel Adams summed it up best, “It does not take a majority to prevail but rather a Tireless, Irate Minority keen on setting brushfires in the minds of men.”
While I remain totally Irate, my Tirelessness can see its limits, as I embark just this month on my 7th decade of life. Here’s to setting the brushfires in time.
Secession is a natural right, notwithstanding what Heinous Abe said. Come to find out he had it exactly right as a congressman. Get a load of this …
“Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable and sacred right.” ~~ Abraham Lincoln
I guess this “sacred right” slipped his mind a little when he ordered his evil generals to rob, rape, murder and burn The South. A sure case of better luck next time.
There will always be times when leaving is the only solution. The founders of this great country knew it. The astute Donald W. Miller, Jr, makes note of it … “In adopting the Constitution of 1787, several states passed legislation stipulating their sovereign right to secede (emphasis mine). In 1798 Jefferson and Madison promoted the Kentucky and Virginia resolutions supporting a states’ right of secession.”
History informs on this issue as well, filled as it is with examples of people who felt so oppressed that they just up and left … those hornery 13 American colonies, Brexit, Algeria, Eritrea, Bangladesh, Greece and Serbia, to name but a few.
While there is little doubt that the current group of miscreants running this crap show will oppose any secession efforts, they may have a harder row to hoe this time around, as “the troubles” are more widely distributed, more diffuse.
That is to say there is a less well-defined target and no single “key” like Vicksburg to capture. Imagine if you will, ten or twelve states all over the map voting at once to leave this roiling wreck of a dumpster fire.
It’s a remote possibility, but one that is definitely in play considering the extremely reckless behavior of some incredibly foolish folks who are really poking the nest, both home and abroad.
Possibly relevant here is the chilly Clint Eastwood meme making the rounds awhile back, “Just wait until those of us who want to be left alone get involved.”
Look for the State Motto to be back in vogue. Some will shine. New Hampshire’s “Live Free or Die” will lead the way, while Alabama will drive home the point with “We Dare to Defend Our Rights.”
“Buckle up ladies and gentlemen, the captain is expecting some mild turbulence.”
~~ J. Lee
“Those are my principles. If you don’t like them … well, I have others.”
~~ Groucho Marx
I ain’t the captain, no point in going down with the ship… FREE TEJAS!
