Houston We Have a Problem

And if I may say so Captain, it's quite the Whiskey-Tango-Foxtrot Clusterfright

Regular readers know I have been pecking at this subject for awhile now. For lack of a better (chicken-free) metaphor, it looks like this egg is about to hatch. Even casual observers can recognize the wanton destruction of Commercial Aviation circling in slow flight directly in front of our widening eyeballs.

Unfortunately there are many signs pointing to an industry entering a spin and inbound for a smoking hole. Just between you, me and the fencepost, it’s looking like it’s Toast. (Is it just me or is it getting easier to come up with colorful/ominous metaphors?)

When the CEO of a major airline like United goes public (aka full-on stupid) with his tranny fetish (or whatever the hell we’re supposed to call it), there’s your sign, as Bill Engvall might say. It’s your flashing neon signage that the “woke” insanity has reached terminal velocity and jumped the proverbial shark in the nefarious process.

Considering the incipient, festering pilot shortage (think silent crisis), such an optically wrong cross-dressing folly could not come at a worse time. The foolish nonsense being forced into the complex cockpits of the world could very well translate into tragedy. While gravity waits in the wings, stupid human tricks accumulate and coagulate.

Pilots who have stopped flying for whatever reason represent the tip of an iceberg that is hiding many more who are sick or more likely, sick and tired of it all. From the medical perspective, the very same spikey clots, nano-technology and hydrogel horror that is dropping jabbed young athletes dead around the world may be coursing through the veins of your Captain.

Unless of course you are fortunate enough to have one of the Courageous Few flying for you … like the 355 pilots at United Airlines, who refused the poison C-19 “vaccine.” Or if you’re lucky enough to have as your pilot one of those who faked it. Who could have predicted that we would someday be thanking the card counterfeiters for safer skies? <Insert irony joke here>

Commercial Aviation may ultimately be responsible for the changing of the acronym for the nation-wrecking paradigm of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, or DEI. The absurd policy of hiring pilots on the basis of their skin color and/or whatever changes they may have swinging or not swinging between their legs rather than on their knowledge and skill at flying airplanes is the elephant waiting.

Look for the acronym for this woke madness to devolve from DEI … to DIE. Ironically this portends what many fliers may do while in transit if things don’t soon pivot in the direction of common sense and sanity. Kudos to The Good Citizen for adopting the DIE acronym early on …

DIE at 35,000 Feet

As the beleaguered industry continues to lose airspeed and altitude, flying eyes will wander ... and wonder. Once commercial air travel is perceived as unsafe, the balloon will be squeezed into more ground travel for domestic trips. Obviously, folks won’t be driving to Paris, so international flying may take longer to crater. The upshot may be an uptick in people driving to Paris, Texas for vacation.

Eyebrows will raise as the gaze of the commercially flying public shifts in the direction of Private Aviation as a potential travel option. Folks may start to realize that being a private pilot and flying your own airplane is not necessarily just for the rich. They may learn that a pretty nice, comfortable and capable airplane can be had for the price of a new SUV.

Others may endeavor to just pay private pilots for a lift. They should be aware that the rules are rather specific and strict on this practice. The Federal Aviation Administration does allow for it, but a passenger may “chip in” for only the “pro rata” (or proportionate) share of the expenses. For a flight of four people and a fuel expense of $100 for example, each passenger can legally pay a maximum of $25, or one fourth of the total. Pilots and passengers alike might do well to remain cognizant of these limits.

That being said, as our government sponsored air and ground traffic troubles intensify, we can anticipate communities with small airports to find themselves in The Catbird Seat, much like Mr. Martin in James Thurber’s 1942 wonderful short story of the same name. Hopefully these little towns and airports will experience an outcome as deliciously victorious as the crafty protagonist of the tale.

And finally, to the Airline Pilots Association seeking lawsuit justice for the toxic mandates by the fascists and the feds, best of luck to you guys and gals at the tip of the spear. Your fight for liberty and justice is a fight for humanity at large. Godspeed.
