Abraham Lincoln was obviously guilty of treason. It was just unfortunate that he was never properly tried for it, as a bullet to the brain ended the nightmare rather quickly; they just didn't get a chance to put him on trial. Therefore, he was the one who should have been impeached, not his successor.
How can anyone be called a great President when there were more people killed under his term in office than happened to anyone else? The fact that there was a war within the nation tells me his term was a disaster, not a success.
And how could a nation that was born out of secession be wanting to go to war with a part of it that decided to secede? That is nonsensical! And to those who say that the Confederacy didn't properly secede, then they are admitting that Lincoln committed treason, since he declared war against the several States that were the Confederacy.
Yes, Lincoln should have been shot. But he should have been convicted of treason first.

As I've written elsewhere... I used to be a "Canadian Patriot"; after 9 year of Justin Castreau, union with America can't happen fast enough: At least then we'd have the slender protections of the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 14th Amendments!
Unfortunately those protections could not be slenderer, proven in spades by the three day police state employed in a massive show of force this weekend that admittedly did snuff out the treacherous "Go Topless" weekend here.
Many are objecting to the tyrannical approach, rightfully so, but to which I say, "So what?" For my rambling missive on the topic, be sure to catch my Substack essay being released on the world tomorrow. Detonation of this little stack could be imminent! 😅

Try living in Canada with our gossamer constitution which can be altered or abrogated at any time by Act of Parliament, Cabinet Order-in-Council or any of the provinces opting out with the "Notwithstanding" clause...
And of course to add insult to injury there's Justin's putative dad Pierre's "Charter of Rights and Freedoms" which specifically omits any right to private property... 🤔
