This next one is dedicated to our dear friends in government and military who may still believe they are being told the truth by their “leaders.”
Today’s writer is knowledgable, experienced and respectable, a retired US Air Force Lieutenant Colonel even. Her perspective has gotta have a lot more legit gravitas than my little backwater redneck rants:

So her good news for us is that the empire is collapsing … to be replaced in time by the decentralization of power and eventual Liberty. Her bad news is that this will probably not be a silky smooth ride and could mirror the motley, mid-east madness created by somebody’s (certainly not god’s) chosen maniacal monsters, all of it splattered with blood and hate. Might be a good time to remind ourselves of Lennon’s most prescient lyric, “All you need is Love.”
Colonel Karen says that the empire is getting tapped out … I guess decades of back-to-back forever-more wars will do that, not just from the attrition of young adults cut down in their prime and ground up into profit by the demonic life-sucking War-machine and putting the whole friggin’ planet at risk of unscheduled incineration, but also by the remaining minds waking to the 60’s power of: “Hell no, we won’t go.”
It’s crazy enough to make you write run-on sentences.
In other words, looks like the jig is up. Hope that’s not some vague, pigmented variant of some imaginary semite slur. If so, I apologize … to anyone and everyone, including the pigmies in Africa. Hat tip, Larry the Cable Guy.
Paraphrasing the Colonel, the current two proxy wars are being prosecuted by sniveling, subterranean Cowards who think it’s all just a really fun video game. Maybe they should download the game where The Cowards get pulverized into gray Gaza tinted rubble.
Maybe The Cowards forgot their big lesson from “that ol’ crazy Asian war,” as Kenny Rogers sang it. The lesson, which was of course …
~~~> Never Ever let your war be televised.
When shocked Americans saw the ghastly atrocity their government was committing against innocent humans, both theirs and ours, they stormed the streets, burnt and destroyed salient, key properties of their “rulers” and put a stop to it. Could be the only time in history that protests actually worked. Correct me if I'm wrong, dear readers. I would love to hear of other examples.
While The Cowards did succeed in sanitizing the TV from showing actual war, that whole new internet thingy could not be totally scrubbed. No problem, The Cowards remembered their other big lesson of ‘Nam …
Don’t let the people gather in any significant numbers and if they say anything that can remotely be considered “anti-fill-in-the-blank,” lock ‘em up. Hell, it worked for those pesky Jan Sixers. It worked for Mao. Why mess with success I guess.
KK wraps up her sterling essay with a statement every American should read,
“Empires large and small make war, and work to sustain war, to dissolve or inflate away their debt while stifling and snuffing out their citizen cowherd, squeezing out the milk, and eventually grinding the meat and bones. When the average American thinks of Gaza, they feel shame.
So Karen, I guess the bottom line is … this cow is getting dry. Great thanks for your thoughts and your service to our great country, Colonel. May You and We, the Patriots, save it from The Cowards.
And now for our blast from the past, the song “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath, released in 1970, when I was soon to graduate high school. One of the best anti-war songs ever written … if only I knew then what I know now.
~~~
Generals gathered in their masses, just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction, Sorcerers of death’s construction.
In the field the bodies burning, as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind, poisoning their brainwashed minds. Oh, Lord yeah/!
Politicians hide themselves away, they only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight? They leave that role to the poor. Yeah.
Time will tell on their power minds, making war just for fun.
Treating people like pawns in chess, wait ‘til their judgment day comes, yeah!
Now in darkness world stops turning, ashes where the bodies burning.
No more War Pigs have the power, Hand of God has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, God is calling, on their knees the War Pigs crawling.
Begging mercy for their sins, Satan laughing spreads his wings. Oh Lord, yeah!
~~~
Can’t say we weren’t warned … good job Ozzie, you crazy guy.
So here’s to Peace through understanding, not Peace through bombing,
~~ j ~~
I would also reference the song Armageddon Days Are Here Again by The The. Seems appropriate.
Feel you on this, Sir. I may have referred to the War Pigs song on Night Court record.
